There are a number of Disney Plus price points available (particularly if you live in the US and can benefit from its Disney Plus bundle options).

For those who just want a Disney Plus subscription, you can choose between its Ad-Supported plan, or go Ad-Free and pay more with the choice to save money with an annual subscription on the latter plan.

As of October 12, the Disney Plus price increased on its Ad-Free plan for US customers from $10.99 a month/$109.99 a year to $13.99 a month/$139.99 a year.

How much does Disney Plus cost in the UK, Canada, and Europe?

With the introduction of the ad-supported plan in the UK, Canada, and Europe, customers in these regions now have the choice of three plans: Standard (with ads), Standard (ad-free), and Premium where you can benefit from 4K streams.

Europe pricing applies to France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland will also see the introduction of the three tiers, too, with rates and currencies varying.

What is the Disney Plus price when subscribing in Australia and New Zealand?

The ad-supported plan hasn't made it to Oceania yet. That means Australia and New Zealand have the simple choice of picking between the monthly or annual rate.

What is the best Disney Plus price or deal currently?

Unfortunately there are currently no Disney Plus deals.

If you want even more from your subscription, for those in the US we'd recommend the $9.99 Disney Plus bundle which throws in Hulu. Or, for sports fans, go the whole hog and pay from $14.99 a month for all three including ESPN Plus.

Alternatively, if you want Disney Plus on its own and want to forego ads, prepay for a whole year and save 16%. This is the best Disney Plus deal for all countries currently, essentially getting 12 months for the price of 10.

Expect some more tantalizing limited time only months in 2024, though. Last year we were treated to two offers at the beginning and end of the year, and we're sure we'll see similar offers again.

How else can I sign up to Disney Plus?

Looking for other means to get yourself a Disney Plus subscription, ideally without paying for it? Well, while there is no longer a Disney Plus free trial (and hasn't been for quite some time), there are a couple of options available for those in the US and UK.

In the US you can get up to 6 month of Disney Plus free with Verizon Unlimited phone plans, while in the UK some O2 phone contracts offer Disney Plus as a part of your deal.

Brits can also use their Tesco Clubcard points to claim 3 months of Disney Plus.

Or if you have a special occasion coming up, you could always for a Disney Plus gift card as your gift. While someone will be paying for a subscription, it won't be you, getting you 12 whole months of Disney Plus. The gift that keeps on giving.

Has the Disney Plus price increased at all?

Since its launch back in November 2019, the Disney Plus price has increased twice. Originally costing $6.99 a month, in March 2021 plans went up by $1 to $7.99 a month, with international markets seeing a similar price hike, with international markets seeing a similar shift.

The second Disney Plus price hike (for US customers at least) happened more recently in December 2022 and was a more significant change with the introduction of Disney Plus' ad-supported plan costing $7.99 a month. The Ad-Free plan subscribers had been used to up until this point jumped up to $10.99 a month or $109.99 annually (up from $79.99 a year).

However, its bundle saw perhaps the biggest (and most positive) impact, getting moderately cheaper and offering more variations on its packages rather than the $13.99 rate that encompassed Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN Plus. While this package is now a dollar cheaper at $12.99 a month, you can also opt to subscribe to just Disney Plus and Hulu for $9.99 a month if the sports add-on doesn't interest you.

From October 12, the US Disney Plus pricing saw a significant increase on its No Ads plan from $10.99 to $13.99 a month ($139.99 a year). As well as this, increased prices to the bundle plans took effect, alongside the introduction of Duo Premium, taking away ads from the Disney Plus and Hulu offering.

This could very much be the bad news the CEO, Bob Iger forewarned US customers about at the Q2 earnings call, in which he suggested there needed to be a more significant disparity between the Ad Free and With Ads plans.

That was alongside the revelation of a "one-app experience" coming alongside the Disney Plus price bump later this year, which combines together content from Disney Plus and Hulu – not dissimilar from what international subscribers get with the Star hub.

Following its announcement in August 2023, the ad-supported plan was finally introduced to the UK, European countries, and Canada from November 1. Three tiers were introduced: Standard (With Ads), Standard (No Ads), and Premium. The Standard (No Ads) plan will maintain the current monthly and annual rates in these regions.
